7月14日,前沿院有机化学研究中心博士生韦玉(导师:曾小明博士)以第一作者身份在国际化学领域期刊《美国化学会志》(J. Am. Chem. Soc.,影响因子12.113)上在线发表题为“Highly Selective Hydrogenation of Aromatic Ketones and Phenols Enabled by Cyclic (Amino)(alkyl)carbene Rhodium Complexes”的最新研究成果。该文章第一作者与通讯作者单位均为西安交通大学。
选择性氢化是化学工业中最重要的一类合成反应之一,被广泛应用于构筑与人们生活密切相关的药物及材料化合物。相对于活泼的羰基而言,芳香性的苯环难以发生氢化反应。目前该领域的研究多局限于氢化羰基而保留惰性的芳环骨架。该课题组以环状单胺基卡宾为配体,成功翻转这类化学反应的选择性。首次实现高选择性地均相催化苯环及苯酚的氢化,有效地保留活泼的羰基。该催化体系表现出良好的官能团兼容性,能够以十克级的规模放大进行而不影响反应选择性与收率,为化学工业上制备环已基酮类化合物提供了一条高效、洁净的合成路径。
该研究得到了国家自然科学基金的支持。
曾小明老师近年来连续在化学顶级国际期刊上发表文章多篇,彰显了其个人超强的有机合成造诣。笔者当年曾经在其实验组做研究1个月,曾老师思维慎密,富有钻研精神,这些都是我值得学习的地方,衷心祝愿他的科研事业更上一层楼!
